I feel the same way about mediation. I would be afraid that I would make decisions that I would later regret.

Because when you met him he was Prince Charming and someone put a spell on him and turned him into a nasty old toad! Ribbit! You on the other hand are still a princess. Eventually your toad will fall off his lily pad, hit his head on the rocks at the bottom of the pond, his spell will be broken and he will rise to the top a prince again.
