I was reading in an MLC book---the Silent Son....and it said that a lot of silent sons have a rescuer complex, usually they come from a violent household where the son had to protect his mother---save her-----from a dire situation. I think I must have fed into that b/c I would always tell LL that he "saved" me from a terrible fate...I meant it as a compliment...
