Uh, just thinking here as someone been riding for a few years.
If the first bike is not the ultimate bike you would want later, the starter bike will be good for learning on, but don't expect to live on it more than about a year.
At that point you either got it out of your system, or got focused on the next bigger better upgrade model you MUST have. So when you do long term budget thinking, don't assume after paying this one off you will never need more bike money.
It is like Lissett or the other DB hotties here never needing another pair of shoes. No way, not gonna happen.
