I saw too many young kids with F-up lives listening to Eminem and the other rappers for me to be interested in that type of so called music.
The same could be said of Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix, etc., but they are all good musicians. Eminem has his own style of musicality, which is quite good IMHO compared to many other rappers. The combinations of beat, harmony, and lyrics flows really well together

I still wouldn't buy the CD or advise anyone to listen to it. I guess it is a little to crude for me to recommend.
Yes it is crude, or another word would be "primal." His music represents our unfiltered animalistic side very well.

Who knows, maybe some women get as much fun shaking their ass as guys get looking at events like that.
Can't speak for women, but it certainly seems like they do enjoy the attention. One of the ways a woman shows attraction is by trying to get you to notice their "good part", with the emphasis being you them noticing that you notice, etc. Of course, I'm not as much an expert on that as BF, so maybe he could clear up exactly what is happening.

Sorry I can't help more in the modern music dept. Natalie Cole and her dad Nat along with some of the American artist from the last century, are in my main collection and listening interests.
Good stuff. So do you like Aaron Copeland and John Williams? How about Hindemith? I'm not a big fan of John Cage and his ilk though.

Knowing the history associated with the song helps to create interest.
Absolutely. My favority "church song" is "It is Well with my Soul", which has a great back-story.

"Recollect me darlin, raise me to your lips, two undernourished egos, four rotating hips"
