Eminem I saw too many young kids with F-up lives listening to Eminem and the other rappers for me to be interested in that type of so called music. I do listen and try to get it's point. That one song??? WoW Dance - “Shake That Ass” by Eminem, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IfkmQ266ZTg does have a beat that is mood inspiring. I still wouldn't buy the CD or advise anyone to listen to it. I guess it is a little to crude for me to recommend. I guess I have enough FOO within me to want to promote something else but am still drawn in by the words and images of "Shake That Ass."
Maybe if there was a song by a female like "Earn that Buck for Me" or "Buy Me that Toy" the concept of self-centeredness in "Shake That Ass" would be balanced.
Who knows, maybe some women get as much fun shaking their ass as guys get looking at events like that.
Sorry I can't help more in the modern music dept. Natalie Cole and her dad Nat along with some of the American artist from the last century, are in my main collection and listening interests.
I do listen to the radio to see what is popular, but the names of the artists and the names of the songs are not committed to my memory as well as some of the older pieces.
Knowing the history associated with the song helps to create interest.
