Karen,
Getting close--how exciting!!
I'm anxiously awaiting his arrival.

As far as circ'ing goes, well, I don't know what we would have done. H was all for it, I was all against it. Luckily we had girls so that battle was avoided, lol.
However, my former career involved spending a lot of time in hospital nurseries and witnessing circumcisions was a frequent thing. Let me tell you--it is brutal. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Sure the little guys are resilient and good as new in no time but it is NOT to be taken lightly.

I don't know if you can google it and find out the specifics of it and show it to H but I would sure want to make an informed decision, if it were me, instead of taking the word of the medical community. Not that they are fibbing..I would just want to know what exactly I am signing my son up for. (hairdog, I'm in a hurry and have no time to rework that sentence so that it's grammatically pleasing)
The little guys are strapped to a hard piece of plastic--arms and legs completely restrained and spread out in an X shape. It's utterly gruesome.

Make sure that H knows the facts and isn't deciding in favor of a painful medical procedure on the basis of nothing more than vague emotions and hearsay from others.

Again, I don't know what I would have done so I'm not advising for/against, I'm just suggesting that you find out exactly what it entails (not just that they dab some numbing cream, etc) so you can make an informed decision.

And, me being me, if my H insisted on it I'd make sure that he watched the entire thing.
