Bad? I don't think its all that bad to ask for a hug once in a while. I do it all the time, however, I am in piecing mode
I would think its probably not all that great to ask for when things are still strained. However, there are lots of people you can get hugs from other than your S - its important. Try it and see how much better you feel

Just got a letter from the Child support agency with a court date of 2/21/07...There goes 700 bucks amonth to a crazy b!tch. I just don't get her. Once I have to start paying that much I will not have enough to take care of the kids or provide them a place to live of my own. Might be time to start and get nasty....I am pretty pissed off right now.
