OMGosh, this new interface SUX.
:::sigh:::

It wasn't broken, so why "fix" it? Nobody even asked us \:\(
Not very 'relational' of the powers that be, now was it?

Okay, done griping. I'm just glad it's still here!

It isn't so bad. There are some useful tools that have been added that you probably haven't noticed. Private messages and a calendar.

You may not like it but I can assure that running and maintaining a BB this size is a huge undertaking monetarily, at no cost to you.

Oh my goodness! What a comment!

We get to come here and post hundreds of messages totally free of charge 24 hours a day... there's no reason why any of the owners/administrators should consult us on anything!

If you go somewhere every day and sit all day drinking free coffee, then one day they paint the room a different color or rearrange the tables, do you feel you should have been consulted?

As SA said, running a BB like this is a monumental task and EXPENSIVE, too. Clearly there were problems or I'm sure they never would have gone to the trouble of upgrading it.

We're not "entitled" to this board; it is a gift, pure and simple. We are guests.

I noticed it had been a bit twitchy recent. I expect the upgrade was primarily to fix some performance issues.
Thanks!

Okay, well can somebody show me how to see the "new" posts like we used to when we log in. When I go to a forum now, all the posts are unread, even in threads I have previously read. It just starts at the start of the thread, doesn't auto-jump to where I previously was the last time I was here. Does that make sense?

That's really all I am having issues with (besides the whole 'change' thing in general) - didn't mean to offend ya'll.

The first time I signed on it was like that - the second time it all seems ok - with yellow folders for unread posts and white for read

Under "My Stuff" in "My Watch Lists" you can create what amounts to custom search folders. You can set it to email you when a particular person posts or a particular thread is replied to, etc. Might be more your speed.

I have to say that I nearly had a seizure when I opened the site! It's too bright and I don't think I can change the display colors. But I suppose we'll all eventually adapt!
