I think you need to go dim to protect your sanity, he is pulling you every which way his mood changes. He needs to get his head straight on his own, maybe one day he will grow up, but not anytime soon.
Unless he shows total 180's, recommits 100%, provides for the children and top being an @ss don't give him 5min of your time.

I was also afraid of being alone, of not being able to date or get married having 2 kids-- but I wonder how much of this insecurity you project and that's why guys who only want "some" are coming your way.
