He quit his job!

I put "our" car in the shop up here ...and they repaired it. There was a $600.00 bill to be owed on it.
Last night HE STOLE IT!
He stole the title from me ....and he took the car!
I'm left with nothing but the bill.....
That was a pleasant wake up call this morning..
and there is NOTHING the garage nor I can do.....
So I have to pay off his bill....I am soo sick of cleaning up his messes.....any advice?

You need to find a lawyer real fast. Is the car in both names? I'm sorry but your H needs a good crack on the head with a 4 x 8 (not the usual 2 x 4)

keep the bill, bring it up when the time is right, if he is using the car he should be responsible for half or all of it if he keeps the car.

Do yourself a favor and don't let this slime back to your home.

He hasn't filed...but I am going to!

My parents are coming home from FL for 2 weeks or so...at the begining of this week...and they are going to help me start the divorce process......

And yes he is choosing for his children HERE to go without so that the one upcoming with his OW can have. It is more important to him.
He expects my family to step in and bail me out....

The car was in his name....but he had signed the title and given me the note saying that it was a gift to me so that I could have it transfered into my name.
But as I think I said he went through everything and stole all that....therefore there is nothing the garage or I can do being as the car is in his name still.....

Don't worry I won't be letting him anywhere me or MY family

Emily,

Is the car in your name?
I'm assuming not....
but if by some chance it is, report it stolen.

Amy I had just said this right above your post

"The car was in his name....but he had signed the title and given me the note saying that it was a gift to me so that I could have it transfered into my name.
But as I think I said he went through everything and stole all that....therefore there is nothing the garage or I can do being as the car is in his name still....."
