Well gang, after the call on Tuesday I had a busy few days. I did some shopping and then Friday I went to "The Who" concert courtesy of my wondeful boss again! Last night I met a GF out to hear a local band. I'm a certified fan now.
So, I decided today was the day to call XH back.
It was really quite uneventful...
X: Hello, this is "XH's name"
Me: Hi, it's "my name"...I got your message so I thought I'd give you a call back.
X: Oh, I was just calling to say hi...how 'ya doin'?
Me: Good...how are you doing?
X: Good
Me: Is this a bad time?
H: Yeah, I'm out right now but I can call you back tonight...So, how is work?
Me: Great! I got a fabulous job that I LOVE!
X: Oh, that one in "name of town?"
Me: No, this one's in "other town"...I've been there since June.
X: Are you making good money? (that figures )
Me: Yeah, almost double what I was making at "old job"
X: Good! I'm really happy for you.
X: Are you working during the day, then?
Me: Yeah
X: Well, I'll call you back tonight...or tomorrow (hedging)
Me: O.K....but you should probably call me at "cell phone" number...
X: O.K., I have it in my phone. Well, I thought I'd call to see how you're doing...talk to you...
Me: I appreciate that...talk to you later
Me and X: O.K, bye, etc., etc.
That was it. Not much to it and I have the feeling he won't call back. He sounded cheery as did I. Whatever.
Last night I met a GF out to hear a local band. I'm a certified fan now.
