I don't know if you pray a lot. If you do, google the Hedge of Thorns Prayer. I prayed it a lot when my W first started having an affair and eventually it ended. I am convinced that this prayer is a miracle. I pray it 3-4 times a day when I am alone. I am starting to pray the prayer a lot again lately.

Also, funny that you mention the "hope" thing. A good friend/counselor of mine tells me that God is a Spirit of Hope not a spirit of fear. When we are fearful or anxious or worried that is the evil one trying to get a stronghold on us. Just look to God and that hopeful feeling will return soon.
