Joe called me last night and told me that you were in town, and that you had posted about your "stay" here in my very snowy city! I do hope that you are confirmed on a flight out tonight--the news hasn't been really hopeful for departures. If you talk to Joe offline, he has my phone number (Azure and H2H do as well). I also don't know if you remember my last name, but if you call directory assistance (not the phone book), you can get a listing for Elizabeth with my last name.
I heard they were bringing flights in, beginning at noon today, and were scheduled to have departing flights this evening. I'll pray that you're one of those lucky people!
For those of you who don't know, we got walloped with one hell of a blizzard! The official measure for snow here is around 24 inches, but I have 3 feet at my house. Digging out yesterday was a rather large chore as well (my triceps and upper back are SORE from 3 hours of shoveling), and they closed the airport on Wednesday. We're supposed to get a few more inches of snow tomorrow as well, and maybe a few more on Christmas Eve. Yes, we're going to have a VERY white Christmas!

Oh geez. Ellie, I just wanted to say Merry Christmas, but now I'm just hoping that you're home finally! Stranded in Denver--that looks like a miserable situation. We just got our power back from the big windstorm that swept through western WA, but that wasn't nearly as difficult as this seems to be. Be well, and let us know how you're doing--you too, Betsey!
Yes, we managed to get out of Denver Friday night (on the ONE flight to SD that wasn't cancelled ) and made it home for Christmas. We actually had fun, as we weren't stuck in the airport, but esconced at BIL's house in Denver, baking cookies and watching S14 snowboard on a rope tow behind the Suburban going up and down the street!
I am typing this on my new laptop that Santa brought me!
