I was going to post on my previous thread but the heading was divorce trial in two weeks. Well, thought it was time for a new title to match my new life
Hmm..let me see. Brief update:
--In grad school to finish my master's of teaching to be a high school English teacher. One more semester left. I am already done with my classes. Student teaching in the spring. Taking a standardized exam on Saturday (SAT for teachers)yuk!
--Kids are great. S12 has a GIRLFRIEND!! OMG! She is a cutie, though and so far, so good. He seems to be a real, believe or not, gentlemen around her. (my influence, thankyouverymuch!
--D9 in dance and loving it. Seems to be happier than ever and has her very best friend up the street so they are adorable and inseparable. I am sure this has helped her over those bumpy patches with her dad a lot, too.
--New Guy still in the picture. Been almost a year and a half and all is going very well. I like my space, though, and could not IMAGINE getting married this early in the game. He has his place, I have mine..and we alternate back and forth on the weekends we have the kids for dinner, etc. The kids have fun but at the end of the night we all hgo our own way. Better for the kids. I think they like New Guy because he isn't around 24/7 too. It has been a gradual process which is SO IMPORTANT! Oh, btw, met his ex yesterday..that is a WHOLE OTHER STORY! Put it this way, she and my ex need to go out bowling.
--As for me, well, been a little overwhelmed with school and house stuff but not too much so. Still better than preparing for the big D. I finished a twelve page paper last Wednesday which was interesting. I had mini nervous breakdown but still managed to pull myself together after all.
--I am officially a home owner now. The deed is official and in my name only. That has been very exciting to say the least. Kind of like my purple heart after a year of hell with battling the Alien for the house.
--oh yeah, the Alien. we haven't spoken for three months today. His texts are nicer, though, well, if u can say that. He is very bitter about the D and I doubt he ever thought it would actually go through. He has not moved back in with the Rat..oh, yeah, sh e still is the Rat btw..Showed up uninvited while the kids were at a movie with their dad on Saturday. Best part..she was wearing my SON'S SWEATSHIRT! He HATES her, too and she knows it.
I tried to be nice..well..she is still a skumbucket and I would like to use her face to clean my toilet.
--The Alien is still lost. He has been doing little drips and drabs of things that could be considered nice lately. He cut out an article from the paper he thought I would like and gave it to my son to give to me. Stuff like that. I haven't called him in months so I have no idea if he would talk to me or not. Still hard to understand what he is so pissed about when he did the cheating. But, why should I be surprised? I was to blame for his misery married now I am to blame for his misery divorced? But the Rat is even more to blame, or the TRUE ONE TO BLAME and he knows it.
All in all Life is Good. I love school. I am taking a class about developing adolescents and find it so interesting. It's fun to make new friends, too. Been awhile since I have been in school.
Well, chickadees, have to go study now. This English exam is going to kick my a** on Saturday if I don't start cramming.
