12102006: Yes, driving in snow can be quite crunchy ! Ice is another matter... I did my undergrad at Kent btw.. there is still a bullet hole in the sculpture outside Taylor Hall.
As for Charleston, I worked there for 8 months or so representing Migrant farmworkers in federal court throughout the state.. interesting experience. Other than that I have always lived in this area.... and have been a dedicated "snow driver" .. of course we now have four wheel drive !
That was a sad situation at Kent. So do you like Ohio or S.C. better? Or is that too much like oranges and apples?
With the voting issues, eyes are on Ohio. On the news here, they say that the unemployment rate is high there compared to all the others...manufacturing possibly?

SC is a beautiful state... you can have all four seasons there and I lived one row from the beach on the Isle of Palms (you probably know where that is). Life circumstances and things just popped up.. I actually "moved" to Micronesia for a couple months..I had a job lined up with Legal Aid to work in the Caroline Islands.. learned W was pregnant.. super typhoon on the way.. Left Guam back to the states.. the short of it for a long story ! Another interesting life experience though.
