He has to start somewhere. Let him try and figure out his place in your home. He is probably walking around with alot of guilt and shame and not quite knowing where he fits in. Remember he came home to you. Do you want him there? Then let him set the pace right now. There will be plenty of time for questions and aplogies later on. Hang in there!!
