Luke, Just remember that when they are in an A they will look at every little thing and blow it out of proportion. Your every sin will become larger than life. It helps legitimze the A. Just ignore it, cuz you can't change it and carry on with your DB plans. Every positive you add to the sitch makes it that much harder for her to ignore.
