LAn, Things do not sound bleak at all. In fact, it sounds like your wife is coming around. You have to be patient. I know that you want to be intimate, that makes perfect sense. But for now, she needs to forgive herself first. Once you have more positive times between you, it might be easier for her to forgive herself.
