Most other mom's in your position do NOT have a job, ARE living in govt housing and ARE on welfare. They get the job, they move on. Why do you think the whole support system exists? Just for you? There are hundereds of thousands of you's out there that are not giving their babies away.
You are not alone. You have to accept the help. It's justa for a while until you get on your feet.
The lawyer too... really - there are state lawyers.
Anyway, I don't think a judge would give the girls to Kevin, even if the lawyer were the most expensive one on the planet. You don't need a great lawyer.
