Hey GH...

Every time I've lurked in the past few months I've seen you dispensing quality advice, so I'm glad to have you keeping and eye on me. I suspect I'll be looking for the occasional 2x4 in the next little while.

Now do tell.. why "Grasshopper"? Is this a sensei/grasshopper kinda thing?

Yea, I guess when I started to "get it" according to some of the wise old ones, somebody suggested that "totallymessedup" didn't really apply and that I should choose another, more suitable name. I resisted but then decided to pick the name I most associated with someone who was a permanant student... grasshopper from Kung-fu.

Sorry/nice to see you back, lol and thanks for the kind words.

GH

Ah yes... the early names we choose for ourselves. It's a great symbolic thing when we need to rename ourselves. I always wish that I had named myself something more creative than Anna123, but in my sobbing state while I registered, nothing beyond my name occurred to me.

My first thread was called "Desperately Seeking Reassurance" and I always look back on that sadly/fondly. It's precisely where I was and where I see so many newbies, which is why my heart aches for them. Remembering that feeling is so vivid, yet so distant. Like "I remember that poor girl..."

Oh, and my new thread is over in Surviving... I should know better than to be running two threads...
