Karen,

I found it interseting that my personality (introverted, sensing, feeling, judging) seems best suited for the medical field....I have often wished I'd taken that route when I was younger. I STILL think about going back to school for a career in the medical field.

I know if we were financially able to allow me to do this I'd go back to school full time and obtain another degree to allow me to be happy with my career....rather than feel trapped in a dead end JOB.

I feel I have subtlely shifted throughout the yrs. In my youth I started out in a more scientific/tech role, but as time went on I became more of a supervisor. I became more interested in people and emotions along the way. In enneagram terms, I think I was more of a 1 and now I'm more of a 4.

IHJ,

I think it would only make sense that we would have shifts, even if just subtle ones.

I honestly wish though that I would have had to take this test when I was still in school....back when I didn't know what I wanted to be when I grew up. For me, it would have been helpful.

Gel,

I hear you. Actually, my job seems perfect for my personality. I love the counseling aspect (the N and the F), I love the management/supervision/financial aspect(J), I love the fundraising part (E), and personnel issues use ALL of it. I love the non-profit administration parts every bit as much as I ever liked doing straight counseling. I ended up here by sheer dumb luck.

That said - I ride the line a bit on the Introvert/Extrovert part. I am more Extrovert than Introvert. In business I have had to use more of the T and less of the F so I have grown a bit in that area. The basics of who I am are pretty constant though.

Karen
