Journey,

Yeah - I'm really enjoying my 14yo. He is pleasant, funny, smart and growing up too fast. I hate that some little girl will soon be taking up his time and attention.

Lillie,

I tried to email you on Friday. I guess it didn't go. I will try again.

sounds more like a "HSP", to me. "HSP"="highly sensitive person". I don't know if this is a generally recognized "syndrome" or anything, but some learn-ed expert wrote a book on it a few years ago. DW read the book...she definately fits the criteria. I haven't read it myself, but I guess its about this "personality type", and how to deal with it, etc, etc...might be an interesting read.

The HSP series is really about Meyers-Briggs INF's. I have all of them, and they're about ME.

INF is the "intuitive-introvert-feeling" type as indicated by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator.

Some info: http://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-personality-type/mbti-basics/index.asp

Here's an online test: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp

Lillie,

Whew - H certainly isn't an INF. He is an ENTJ, I believe (or maybe ESTJ - he was close on that one). I am an ENFJ. However, I think the sensitivity thing is another aspect of his personality and may have to do with his upbringing. It is the reason that he eats absolutely no vegetables - the flavors just don't suit his palate - even if htey are cooked into something and are beyond recognition. Whatever the case it is a real issue sometimes.

Lil, I haven't taken that test in YEARS...I'd forgotten what I rated. I'm sure it'll be no surprise to you that I'm a ISFJ.

ok, I took the test, and it says I'm an "INTJ". yet the quiz in the HSP book says I'm one of those, too.
