But something you have to understand that's a little different in my sit is that having an autistic son is unrelenting.

I love him to death, and my other kids pitch in, but his condition will never go away.

As soon as things seem to lighten up a bit, his contition seems to get worse.

And W and I have to face the prospect that one day, we may find ourselves having to decide that we can no longer handle it.

W used to believe that God will never give you something you can't handle. She recently told me that she no longer believes this.
