Okay, had to laugh at myself this morning. Actually found myself, in the middle of a hot flash, luxuriating in front of the open refrigerator.

Now if you could just take the refrigerator with you all day!

Ellie,

When we were in Orlando a few years back, we saw people using those mist/fan things. We decided to freeze the water bottles so they'd last longer during the day. (We froze water bottles for our coolers, too, and made Gatorade from the water when it melted.)

Be a cliche, but step out and do it in your own style!

Thanks,

Joe

Wow, I hear ya on those hot flashes! Seems like if I do anything to start a sweat it turns into a drench. My whole head looks like I just came out of the shower, hair is soaking wet.... Any of the OTC stuff work?

WCW -
Can't tell you about the OTC stuff, but the topical hormone cream my doctor has me on is doing the trick.

I just came from an intense three-day seminar on bio-identical hormone replacement. Fascinating info, very cutting edge, but also very well supported by the science. That was great, because my experience before with "alternative" medical conferences was that people "believed" a lot of things but couldn't show the science to back it up.

Hi Ellie

Some days ago I typed up a long medical query here but lost it before hitting the send button. I have now retyped it on my own thread, would you mind having a look please?

And, how's tricks?

Okay - are S14 and I the only two sick puppies who burst out laughing upon hearing that the contaminated spinach causing an E. coli outbreak here in the US came from a company called Natural Selection Farms???????
