There’s a technique for motorcycle riding called countersteering. When you want to turn right, for example, you turn your handlebars to the left. This briefly puts your bike off balance, causing it to lean to the right. You then straighten the handlebars. You regain your balance and the lean of the bike takes you in the desired direction.

In DB terms, this brief turn of the handlebars to the opposite direction is called a 180. Time is relative. The bomb dropped about two years ago. In a 23 year relationship, I’ve only been DBing for a brief time.

Shaping your R is a winding road. Lotsa counterstearing. Countersteering is also counterintuitive. Takes a lot of practice to get it right, and to do it smoothly.

Right now, I’m going through a long curve. Not as many twists and turns in the road right now. My handlebars are straight, and for the moment, I have my balance. The curve in the road is gradually turning in the right direction.

The twists and turns are all layed out in my previous threads. Waaaaaay too much reading, but for anyone who is interested, the first posts in each thread gives you a pretty good idea of the course I’ve taken.

My most recent thread is Goin’ with the Flow .

Rollin’ down the highway…

ANS,
I love your analogy! H used to desert race and street ride. Not on the same bikes of course. [Smile]

It also made me laugh. H wasn't real hot on taking me along as a passenger. When he would lean way far out, guess what I would do?

You have a good day!

Well, something wierd is happening to the UBB code. Can't get the image to display, and can't make a link to the site, but if you copy the URL portion and paste it into the address box in your browser, you can see it.

It's simple, but that's not the same thing as easy.

ANS,
Why is everything on this thread wider than my monitor? I can't adjust it to fit. It isn't that way on any of the other threads. You trying to drive us all crazy?

Did you see what I answered you on my thread?
I said the nagging I was talking about happened before the split, not recently. I was sort of asking about pulling the plug now or later, that's all. Kind of run out of options.

It's cool. I'm in a much better mood now. Just was having a really down time when I posted.

Good luck getting your link to work. I'm a computer flunky, so can't help there. [Smile]

You have a good day! [Smile]
