I have read a lot of the postings on your thread, Alison, and I really do feel for the situation you find yourself.
Just thought I would comment on the "sorry" statement from your H .....
My H was also very apologetic about the pain he was causing me and our kids, even though he was determined to get a D. To them, I think, their pain supersedes any guilt they feel over the pain they are causing their LBS's and children, but they are sincerely sorry. Now that my H is back in the M, he still says he is sorry about what he did, on occasion, but does not want to talk about the details. In fact, it seems as if he has forgotten most of what happened. Weird!
