Fabulous Miss M,

You're such a tease!!!

You pop in and whet everyone's appetite and then you disappear again! Hoping you're well and that you get the chance to post more regularly.

If I lock your thread, I'm sorry and you're welcome to beat me about the head!

Nope. Sorry Kev, but you did not succeed in locking me up!

And no, I haven't forgotten all of you either.

Work has been extremely demanding, but in a good way. I think I mentioned previously that I got a new boss back in July. He's good but demanding. That's okay; I've needed that kind of pushing in my career. He's interested in my education as well, so he's sort of a mentor.

My classes resumed in October, so it's been a bit of a struggled getting back into that groove. Only seven classes left after this one, though, so yay!

I'm keeping things pretty low-key with the holidays coming up. It's not clear to me what any of my kids are doing yet, so I'm just trying to stay flexible. My mom fell and broke her ankle nearly a month ago, and she has about 8 more weeks of healing ahead of her. This was after she decided NOT to relocate to my town 2 hours away. I've been doing the LD thing taking her for her dr's appt's, and she had a home-health aide coming in to help.

Things have been going very well with SO. He misses me a lot when he's on dad-duty, and it really seems to reinforce what he wants for our future. No, he hasn't proposed yet -- not sure what the hold up is, but he still talks about it, so I know he hasn't backed down.

We've had a couple of very stressful situations and I've done a pretty good job of using my editing skills. Bottom line is sometimes you just have to keep your damn mouth shut. I find it's usually worth it.

Love you guys!
M

Editing skills, is that what you call it? It sounds like FL choosing battles carefully, but whatever works, works.

Thanks for updating us!

Okay, this was formal enough that I get the hint. My bad. I've been away too long...

M,

No, it was a genuine expression of thanks., As I said earlier, I hesitate to try to contact you since I know that you're putting your R back together, and the last thing a woman needs in that sitch is having to explain to her SO why some guy across the country is contacting her.

"Really, it's ok, honey, I met him on the Internet."
"Gosh, why didn't you say so in the first place, lovey-buns. Now I feel so much better about us."

Wasn't that your inner Venusian that came out to bite M's butt?!!!

Martha,

Hey, GF!! Thanks so much for stopping by my thread and uplifting me with your positive words! I rarely post as I am really GALing and enjoying my new job as a senior administrator. [How's that for post-Bomb success??! ] I am now a peeping-Tomasette as a lurker here.

I'm exhausted. I just finished a 10 page paper on a complicated case study. That was on top of a day which included a 5 hour round trip to take my mom to a f/u dr's appt for her ankle and a brief but unpleasant encounter with my DD26.

I don't have any holiday plans for tomorrow, and that is by design. I plan on 1) sleeping, 2) doing homework, 3) perhaps seeing "Bobby" if it's playing here in my community, 4) heading over to SO's for the evening, and 5) doing the "Black Friday" thing, which I never do.

I pray a peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving for all of you.

M
