Update:

Going well here!
H and I are plodding along, trying to buy a house, my dad is officially dying (they have started hospice ), and the kids are still heathens.
Our SL has been erratic, with both of us hoping that the other has some heat to bring. Sometimes that happens, other times (like last night) I just roll over and go to sleep, unwilling to get him and myself revved. The sadness from my dad is overwhelming; I don't have it in me.

On a more positive note, my physical fitness routine is going great! Down around 10 lbs, making good headway towards actually getting into my pre-preg clothes. Can't believe I haven't achieved this sooner.

I am expecting my sex drive to spike once that happens..I think being physically unfit affects our drives more than we realize. H is starting to work out also and I'm anxious to see what effect it has on him. It's funny...I looked fine before but in MY mind, I didn't look hot. I'm sure that affected my behavior greatly.

Anyway, I wanted to check in and say howdy. Pray for me and mine, wouldja.

I feel like going out and getting sh*tfaced so that must mean that the stress is getting to me!

Take care guys....

Honeypot,

Dang girl you are dealing with a whole load of crappola aren't ya! I'm so sorry to hear about your Dad, hospice is a great help....but it certainly (at least for me) didn't make watching a loved one die any easier. You're in my prayers Hon.

Definitely cut yourself some slack right now, and just make sure you get through this time and take care of yourself (sounds like you're doing great there). Ever had a Chocolate Martini...I can fedex a shaker your direct

HP,
spend time with your dad, you wont ever regret it.

kudos on the working out.

anybody have any luck with teaching a man on how to be comforting? seems like now would be a good time for Mr. H to learn, and I would eagerly observe and absorb the info myself. <chagrin>

Hi HP
I'm sorry to hear about your Dad.
Sounds like you are doing great with the workouts. That's awesome! The nicer weather always motivates me to get my butt in better shape so I'm ramping up my workouts a little at the gym. Good for your H working out too. Since my H started to be consistent with it, it really did increase his sex drive. And mine Not only do you feel better about your body (the way it looks) but you certainly feel better/healthier too. All that blood flowin. Heart beating. An hour workout is probably similar to the same endorphin rush you get with great sex (But still no substitute) Hmmm...makes me think though...I bet a lot of people sublimate their sexual urges by going to the gym. Makes some sense.

HP,

Wow - that is a load of sh!t to deal with. I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I will include him and your family in my prayers.

I hope you remember to cut yourself and your H some slack. It is just a really hard time. Don't forget to ask H for what you need. I'm sure he knows your hurting and would love some clues as to what to do.

When I mix a drink in Daytona on Saturday I will think of you.

Karen

My father died about 9 years ago...he went fast, too. Going fast meant I never really got to say goodbye or to tell him how much I loved him. Still hurts.

Let him know how much you love him.

I second HD words. My mother died when I was 18 in the middle of an argument I was having with her. The time you have with your father is precious. Make sure he knows it.
