My purchase that I'm the most proud of last night is the bags of fruit. I never ever eat enough fruit. I hate peeling, cutting, the sweet hurts my teeth, the list of excuses goes on and on. At $6.95 a bag, I normally would not have spent that much, but I grabbed 3 bags and they are really big bags. They have melons, berries, peaches, all that stuff already cut up. Now I wish I'd have bought a new blender. Never good enough, is it?

Bad weekend, ate out a LOT. Plan to stop that this week. No workouts either, I felt quite guilty about that. H and I talked about it being more for our hearts than anything, wanting to be vibrant and functional in old age--kinda hard to think long-term.
Tonight, will defrost chicken for tomorrow night. Maybe fish for tonight. Back to the fruits, eating right, vitamins and water intake. I want to get back to exercising also this week...I was remiss this past week feeling like getting control of emotions, life. No excuse though.
So, we're all on track for the week?
Green tea: I have 1 cup/day. If you have an Asian grocery store nearby, you can get teh LARGE box (100 bags) for cheap, if not Lipton makes a nice one too. Good for metabolism and antioxidants. ABout 1/3 caffeine as coffee, so good for afternoon boost.
Measurements? I have no idea. I am kinda oddly proportioned--you can trust me on that one!
Ok girls......this is a new week!! This week WE WILL DO THIS!!! Want to start on some daily goals? Here are mine:
For today: -Stick to my WW's point range. -Drink my water. (never a problem) -Get some form of exercise for atleast twenty minutes.
I wanted to share something about an article I read over the weekend. According to a study group that followed over the last couple of years, it was proven that people who lifted weights had a decrease in abdominal fat versus the group who did not life weights. The overall outcome of the study was that lifting weights helps attack belly fat. I have a home gym...so I think maybe today I will hop on it for my twenty minutes of exercise. I need the energy boost anyway.

Recent studies have indicated that stress can contribute to an increase in belly fat. Stress has been linked to an increase in the secretion of cortisol and cortisol linked with retention of belly fat.
I believe that wieght lifting relieves stress. You do the math.
And BTW if you would like a personal trainer - I work cheap.
Anyway...yep, new day. Yesterday wasn't bad. I made my breakfast of soy milk with fresh fruit blended in, I did have 2 cups of coffee, a Lean Cuisine pizza for lunch (the spinach one is really good!) and then I had made fried chicken for dinner but I didn't eat the skin, just a breast piece, a small scoop of cheesy rice and a cheddar biscuit. Lots of portion control there.

Back on the train again. Goals for today: * drink 4 glasses water (yes, low, but trying to establish a baseline) * Vitamin * Healthy lunch and dinner * Had breakfast of meusli
This week: * Work out 3x * Drink 4-5 glasses of water daily * Vitamin each day * Cook dinner daily - no eating out (not too much trouble) * Sleep well (trying here) * Meditation daily
Becca- Good job yesterday! Portion control is huge! Overall, sounds like a healthy day!! LOL..you taking away my personal trainer? Hmmph.....
Always- I like your goals. Four glasses of water is great. Although I drink tons of water, I find it is way more then I need and all I do is retain it. I don't think everyone falls under the traditional standard of eight glasses a day. That is one thing I learned from WW's. My max is usually four or five.......but I drink the Poland Springs pint size bottles and I usually drink 5 or 6 of them a day. That's just pitiful. You would think I was a camel! LOL
