Man, my life has become so kiddie-fied that I can no longer imagine it. When we ML, it is after the kids are in bed and though we are not quiet, there's no extra noise in addition to our own. Plus, H hates music. (I know, what kinda person hates music!) Plus, I myself find it sortof distracting. We like to do a lot of dirty talk and I wonder if the background music would impede that.
However, 'our' music back in the day was lots of Sade. Her greatest hits CD still reminds me of how much we used to ML when we first met.
These days, I like to sip wine and listen to Norah Jones and give my H fcuk me eyes. But that's all waaaaaay before the act.
If I had to pick, though, I wouldn't choose anything too lovey dovey or slow. I may have outgrown Sade, after all.
My H and I have a little musical crossover but he likes country and I only like some of it, I like jazz/classical/alternative/rock etc... So.....we never really ML with music.
However, some time ago H burned a compilation CD for me that he labeled as "K's romantic songs". It is stuff he likes, that remind him of me/us. It was a very high school guy gesture, very cute and it made me smile. For a while I used to play it in the bedroom as an "I'm interested" signal. It worked for a while. Then....it didn't. Oh well.
How could I forget Norah Jones?! That is one of my favorite Cd's.

Like a flower waiting to bloom Like a lightbulb in a dark room I'm just sitting here waiting for you To come home and turn me on
Like the desert waiting for the rain Like a school kid waiting for the spring I'm just sitting here waiting for you To come on home and turn me on
My poor heart, it's been so dark since you been gone After all, you're the one who turns me off You're the only one who can turn me back on
My hi-fi's waiting for a new tune The glass is waiting for some fresh ice cubes I'm just sitting here waiting for you To come on home and turn me on Turn me on ______________________________________

Enya (of course) Mike Oldfield (Tubular Bells, Ommadawn) James Taylor Clapton (You Look Wonderful Tonight, etc.... unplugged) Cuban music Classical guitar music (dare I say...) Bolero...?
Keep in mind, this is mostly fantasy, or distant fond memory... haven't actually had tunes during in over, well, almost 30 years... but thanks for the reminder. Might want to try something sooner or later... (wish there was a graemlin with horns...)

Uh, guess that's it, leaving out all my instrumental picks.
I had several songs on my list that I removed because I thought they would be considered too trashy. For some reason, that new Eminem song "Shake that" gets me going. Ugh, now I'm starting to get into that mood. Ugh. Tonight might have to be a "just say yes" night.
