I think we are in agreement. I know adolescent boys can be damaged by things like you describe. That is what I was postulating to GEL, that the damage may have occurred earlier than her H’s first marriage. My thought was that by the time he married (say around 18-22), he was already shaped by any damage/shame/abuse he may have encountered. So saying his first wife could turn a man with normal sexual attitudes into someone with sexual hang-ups does not seem likely. Sure it could happen, but I think a better answer lies deeper in his past, just like you describe.
Hurray for me! Last night was a success. As soon as I got the kids to bed I walked into the family room and said "take your pants off." He was more than willing to oblige and he said that BJ felt so good he felt his fingertips were going to blow off! I think he really gets off on me being more dominant. I'm not disagreeing that some of the impressions my H has about sex could have come from his upbringing....that's possible, won't deny that. All I can go on though is what I do know about his parents and the fact that they don't outwardly show affection....and the fact that sex simply wasn't discussed at home....he had a strict southern upbringing.
He dated in school....very hot women, Heather Locklear was a friend of his....and he dated Kim Bassinger as well (no joke)....but his first serious R was with his first W, who got pregnant by him when he was 17....and then they married. This family I do know, I've experienced them first hand...I can easily see how domineering and damaging their behaviors are. So really...all I'm saying is this....it's been a combination of things that has brought him to the point he's at.
That's awesome....now one of these times, remind him...."I'd really like you to do something like that for me sometime too....I'd find that really hot myself!"
