It is degrading to the women who participate in porn. It is not degrading to me! I said "it makes us objects"...I should have said "it makes them objects". If you read life stories, see interviews and the like of women who come out of a life of centerfolds and porn they told what the life was like and how it hurt them. They are affected for the rest of their life. I've known a few women personally. They can be pretty messed up. "Pretty Woman"...not a proper depiction of that profession at all.
So how does this fall into the category of being a males responsiblity?
These woman were not forced to become models porn stars or strippers. IT was a choice freely made by them. For money or for self ego reasons. These females put them selfs in this role in life. Wanted the attention. Got what they willing choose. How does the male become to blame when this woman reach a point that there morals change. Or there looks fade? The messed up part of there life was brought on by free choice. No more pity needed then the person who willingly sticks a needle in the arm everyday to get high it is personal choice from the begining. Now if you are talking backwoods country's were children are sold and forced to do these things I see your point but other wise. I have to agree with Cobra with the fact that is a femistic view of the man being in the wronge when he is not the one to blame.
