Nicegal, No no no, you misunderstood me. I was not suggesting that was aimed at me, I knew what you were getting at.
I'm saying that by phrasing it as "Women complain" instead of "I complain", your personal responsibility is diminished. The urge you feel to overcome this tendency is lessened because "all" women do it, see what I mean? If you said "I" every time you wanted to say "women" you would find yourself getting closer to the problem, I think. I included my own experience, as a noncomplainer, only to illustrate my point above.
What I am basically saying is that your chances of overcoming the bad habit of complaining are MUCH improved if you say "I am a complainer" vs. "Women are complainers". That's all I was trying to say. And you'd better not keep your comments to yourself; you've been gone long enough as it is!
