I've only been here a few days, so I apologize if this has been done before, but I thought it might be fun if we all posted some of the dumbest things our spouses have said about their affairs or about our marriages.
I'll start the competition by nominating my W. This one cracks me up every time I think about it. After initially confessing the A to me, she said,
"I never knew before that it was important to me for the man I love to play a musical instrument."

Oh I will have to think there are several... The one that sticks out that just tells me how a WAS is not thinking... "He is an alcoholic and has parnoia episodes but I am sure he will get better!".....NICE Recent comment just in the New Year!
Oh here was a good one when we were recounciling "He was really getting out of shape and I liked that you were in shape so I bought him a 3 month gym memebership." My W was not working so I acually bought the OM a gym membership!

Spitfire did you over hear some of the conversations with my W because she said the exact same things! Except replace OW with OM...... Now if it was OW what would a guy think?

Let's see. The stupidest thing H said to me was that OW had gotten divorced but that the papers(I couldn't locate them at the state level) must have gotten lost. Another one was that I was somehow making OW sick (with cancer, which she does not have) with VooDoo!!!! Wish I could get what ever drugs he's on. Might not be so depressed.
"She'll be devastated!" When I asked him to break things off with his other woman. SHE'll be devasted?!?! The girl has known him all of six months where I on the other hand had been married to him 10 years! lol

It's great how these WAS's are saying the same things. I think I'm going to put my W up for the award again for saying (after she had sex with me last week) "Please don't tell OM that I "cheated" on him with you! (She did say it with a knowing smile, but still, the idea of keeping our sex a secret from the OM amuses me greatly.)
Tim, the gym membership comment is great. I actually paid for 4 tires that OM stole and my W gave him the money to replace and dispose of the evidence.
