Yes, that's probably part of it. It can also be because at that time (before), she could not leave (physically, mentally OR emotionally) and it took her a lot of "work" to get prepared to do just that. Now you're exhibiting all these changes and you have become the man she wanted you to be but for her, it was 'too late' so now she is really just terribly confused. That's my guess.
