Kismet -

You sound so great right now! And you'll be more than welcome on the Big D board. It's a great group.

Nothing like waking up to a headless mouse! But your kitty must really love you to bring you such a gift!

Glad things are going well with S14. You have both been through so much - it's nice to start finding some peace and tranquility again.

Careful what you wish for. When I said a prayer to the gods for a gorgeous male to wake me with a surprise, I wasn't really thinking of my naughty cat bringing me a headless mouse

Ruth I saw that too - it was a bed company add??

I admit I thought it was a bit over board though - the tele was 3 times the size of my normal one (the entire lenght of the foot of a double or queen size bed) and it rose out of the foot of the bed like a nymph.

And what sort of tv are you going to watch in bed ? - "I'm off to my bed to watch the 7.30 Report now lads" - and there's Kerry O'Brien larger than life in your bedroom - scary ....

Well I know you Aussies are going to find this hilarious, but that would do it for me. I find Kerry OBrien very sexy. Yes, I knew it, you are all wetting your knickers at my expense.

Ruth, I have seen the ad too, and already want one! Main reason I watch tv in the bedroom though, is that it is quieter in there. I have an open plan house, and it is all open one side. Plus tv in the lounge is playing up at the moment.(Yep, all the appliances are dying on me )

Thanks amd ~ I am not a follow the recipe type cook. More just toss what I have in and hope for the best. But anyhow, here is the recipe for Corn Fritters, as best I can recall.

Beat 3 large eggs. Add 1 can of corn kernels, and 1 can of creamed corn, then salt and pepper, and cumin (1/2 teaspoon) and coriander (1/2 teaspoon ~ I actually spilt quiet a lot in about 1 tablespoon and still very yummy, but I like a lot of spice). Then add a cup and a bit of self raising flour (I think you call it allpurpose flour, I used gluten free), and add milk if necessary to make the right consistency. (sorry I cannot recall if I added milk, but if you used less eggs could add more milk). You want the mixture quite thick, thicker than pancakes.

Then just fry large spoonfuls in olive oil in a non stick pan. Flip after about 2 minutes, when they get those big bubbles. I just served as a side dish with marinated chicken wings, for an easy Sun night dinner.

Sorry reading this back,it is as clear as mud, but is really quite quick and simple and cheap, and very yummy, even cold the next day.

You sound so great right now! And you'll be more than welcome on the Big D board. It's a great group.

Thanks Beth, and I will see you over there when this thread closes. I feel like it is time.

Nothing exciting in my life, same old. Very hot here. Trying to convince myself to mow the lawn

Thanks guys.I knew the Aussies would die laughing, but now I am copping it from the US contingent as well Just call me geek girl but I love a man with a brain. Those firies are lovely Sassy, but after they have put out the fire, what are we going to talk about

I was planning on spending the day with Joaquin Phoenix ~ yep seeing "Walk the Line" with a friend, but it's a no free tickets day, so put off until next week Bugger, and I was planning on sushi for lunch.

But tonight we have the basketball finals which will be the best. This is the 1/4 final and do or die, so the whole town is pumped. Woo Hoo ~ Let's go Taipans!

He may have a brain, but he's REALLY short. I was on the same plane as him to Sydney recently and I couldn't believe how little he was.

I'm ashamed to admit I do have a bit of sympathy for your plight - I love his voice.

Have a great time at the basketball.
