New thread title in honour of the fact that looking for the ironing board and couldn't find it. Then realised that wah has been gone nearly 9 months and haven't ironed since. Only had to as I had lazily shoved a linen skirt in the cupboard instead of putting it on the hanger. Little bit of fabric softener in a squirty bottle of water and most wrinkles are zapped.
Thanks everyone for checking in. I am fine, I realise I need to let go and think I have. One thing I realised is that you can take the mind/body thing too far. Feeling like a big goose, but when I started getting headachy and feeling sick, I automatically assumed it was as I had thoughts I wasn't dealing with. So naturally, it must be my brother.
Kept thinking, don't dwell on it. Which makes you think of it more. But I kept thinking why do I feel so cr@p. Then started vomiting and rang a friend to cancel coffee/dinner. She then mentioned that other friend also sick.

Does your brother have any kids? No, she has a little boy from prev. marriage. Who is very wise. He is all of 7 and said "Mum it is probably good if you don't see each other, as you make it each other angry". One consolation is that they have always lived apart due to work commitments, so it is not a sudden change in routine for him. She has been living with her parents, so nice supportive environment for them both. Plus only an hour or so away from my mum.

Speaking of driving, I must have a guardian angel watching over me. Had 3 near misses in last 2 days, all of them other driver's fault. 2 where cars nearly reversed out on me, just not looking. Last one was scary, guy pulling out in shopping centre. Luckily I saw him. He looked the opposite way, and I thought "He won't look", he didn't and just came straight out. Luckily I anticipated it and had braked. We just both smiled, but I think he was really shocked at what he had done. I don't want a dingle in my new little car.
Could have used one of those cabana boys yesterday. Spent 1/2 hour working out the reason why pool cleaner not working was a stubborn leaf lodged in it.
Would love to see those gecko babies. Maybe next time you can get a picture. Do they match the tattoo?
Will try and get a pic Beth. They prob. do match the tattoo as just little tiny guys. ALso try to remember a pic of Mumma sun bird who has built a nest in front of my swing.
Anyhow, nothing to report. Same old nothing happening on the r front. Wah fast becoming the "check in once a week" Dad. He still does not seem capable to connect with S14, and now tends to take him to the movies, rather than sit and watch him on the computer every day.

I think if I ever get asked to be a guardian angel, I wouldn't want to be assigned to be in a car and risk having an accident. Which leads me to my next thought... you know when people have a little St. Joseph statue on their dashboard to watch over their travels? Shouldn't they turn the statue around so it's facing the road so it can see?
I was so busy having my own little crisis over on my thread that I didn't get to catch up on yours. Sorry you were sick. Hate when that happens. We have been very lucky this winter in our household. Nobody has been down with anything yet.

LMAO to this!! I also gave the ironing board to WAH, since that was something I always hated, ironing his work clothes. I would put it off forever, and he would complain about it constantly.
Now, I've bought myself some new clothes since I'm working...and I iron them all at least once a week. I don't mind at all...don't know why????

haven't ironed since I HATE ironing!!! Thank goodness I have hired help to do that. I guessed I have to thankful that I people to help me out on the chores....think if not, with my sitch and a full time job, EVERYTHING will be a BIG MESS!! (By the way, hired help is very very very common in this part of the world. ALmost every urban household would have a live-in hired help)

Feeling a little bit pleased with myself, entered a web competition where you had to give 6 beauty tips and I won! Can't recall what I wrote, some waffle. They will be put online in one of the future articles and I got a bundle of Clinique goodies as a thank you.
Clinique is one of my favourite brands but not purchased of late. It's not a biggie, but it certainly helps out. I would love to be able to comp. for a living but my wins are very sporadic, and although had some big ones, not enough to live on. I never pay for movie tickets though
Also got a cheque to reimburse fees for college this year, so I can breathe again financially. And on that note after buying S14's school uniforms, hit the shops and picked up a linen dress and top for 1/5 of their price. They are both classic styles so know I will get years out of them. Oh and 2 pairs of sexy knickers at 1/6 price. Woo Hoo!
Downer as trying on clothes made me face facts that there is now more of me, so went for a run/yoga, had healthy stir fry pumpkin for dinner and no chocolate!
NYS ~ I always envisioned the angel just generally hovering over me. Now I have images of it riding shotgun, and braking at close calls I have to admit I did hunt out the St Christopher medallion that came with last car, just in case. No accidents in that car in the 6 years I had it. Hey, I will take all the help I can get

No Yoyo, I can't count ~ it's only nearly 8. But still, that's a long time. Oh and yes, when I finally land the fulltime job, I plan on getting extra help in too. You would be crazy not to, if can afford it.

Must remember to change my perfume. Yesterday for some obscure reason I became a babe magnet literally. This cutest little toddler ran up to me, wearing shades and gave me the cutest wave, while Mum and I just looked at each other. Then later on, another little girl started toddling after me, with Dad chasing after her.
Good thing though, I realised I am really and truly cured of wanting a 2nd child. 12 months ago, I would have been in the car crying after that, but I just felt happy. Happy they were so adorable and reached out. Happy that my 14 year old baby is nearly self sufficient. The end of a long journey.
