Hey, ka_zump! Always good to hear from you!

This:
My S4 (almost 5) is pretty boyish and loves cars, sticks, mud and riding things, but he also loves cooking (real and pretend), reading, and apparently dressing up in heels and a purse at daycare! (he had us all rolling at thanksgiving, seriously discussing his problems with some of the purses that have latches "with the little balls", and how he could only wear the heels when he wore his velcro sneakers to daycare)

...made me laugh. *Very* cute. I bought my nephew a pretend cooking set for Christmas a couple years ago (when he was, like, 3). I was determined to make sure he wasn't "all boy." But my sister's done a good enough job of that, I guess. He dresses up all the time; he has a Batman costume, Spiderman, a Ninja Turtle, etc. What a little dork!

Has your L discussed your chances at alimony, and for how long you might get it? My L said that here in MD, it was usually only granted short term, until you can get to be self supporting, and also that it wasn't generally given when you've only been married a few years. She said I could have a chance since my salary is about 75% of H's, but my salary alone is pretty good. I didn't think it was worth it to pursue because I knew H would fight it, and it was pretty low on my list of things worth fighting about.

MD and N.C. sound a lot alike then. My L told me initially that it was going to be difficult to get spousal support for the very same reasons. He said if someone *is* awarded alimony, it's usually just for 1/2 the duration of the marriage (which in my case wouldn't be that long at all). However, he said, my circumstances (depending on the judge) might help me out a lot. My H makes three times as much money as I do. Abandonment alone is usually grounds for short-term spousal support in N.C.; adultery usually *always* is. My L's going to try to either go after high support for four years (and work his way down to two, I think), or low permanent support. (At least that was his plan *before* I caught H w/ OW, so I'm not sure how much better my chances are now). You guys will be among the first to know once I find out.

I think I'm finally almost ready to give up on H. Sadly, and reluctantly, I must accept that my belief that he's a better person than this was wrong.

I'm so sorry to hear that; it seems to be everyone's dilemma: We want to think that they're who we remember. More times than not, I think, that's not the case. Keep me posted, okay?

In happier news, we're picking up our new adopted puppy tomorrow!

That *is* happy news ... for you and the puppy! I'm sure he'll have a blast following S4 around in heels and mud and sticks!

bigAl Awww, why didn't you get in touch last night if you were feeling blue? Darn ... and to think I went to bed last night 'cause none of my friends would come out to play!

Bet yours don't climb to the top of their bunkbeds and leap off just for the hell of it.

Oh boy ... don't get me started on this one! Last spring, my sweet introvert D9 (she was D8 then) decided she wanted to do a flying flip from her loft onto her bottom bed. Let's just say that we ended up in the Emergency Room, then at the dentist's office the next day. You know that little piece of skin that you can feel with the tip of your tongue that feels like it holds your bottom lip to your gum (I'm too lazy to look up exactly what it's called right now)? Well, D9 doesn't have one anymore...scraped it out on her faceplant-fall down the loft.

Yeah, so if boys are any worse than that, Little Man can just stay right where he is ... or I'll bring him to you since you obviously know how to raise fine young men!

Well, I'll remember that next time, Sassy. When you wrote "good night" last night, I thought that meant you were crashing.

Oh really???? And what little birdie told you this?

As for tonight, pack up your sweet ars, put on that turtleneck, jeans and boots and come on down...apparently, we need a male chaperone tonight anyway...you can bail us out if we get into any serious trouble. Unless of course, we have to take care of you...

And Mr. Big AL...go read your thread...I just suggested a DB get together when Preggo drops...here in Dallas!!!

That's the *only* reason you need a male chaperone. Doh! Did I say that out loud? Sheesh. Back to square one for freakin' FemiNazi. Now, if I could just learn to change oil...

Lol ~ just drop the word "panties" in the thread and Big Al's there I am thinking P3 will be along anytime now.

Preggo, don't think I have ever posted on your thread, but seen you around the place. I have got to hand it to you. You are dealing with your situation well.

And you can all stop your bitching ~ some of us can't eat pizza or drink beer at all cos of the bl@@dy gluten they put in it. Hey, we can't even drink a vodka without interoggation that it is not a grain based vodka. Oops, sorry hormonal hijack

Preggo your little boy is going to be spoilt rotten by his 2 sisters, and his mumma is going to fall in love with him.

Smile, it makes people wonder what you are up to!
