TC, just curious, what are you taking for adrenal support, and what testing did you do?

Ellie

Hi Ellie,
I thought I'd answer/continue this convo here on your thread. Hope you don't mind?

I have had both blood tests AND saliva tests done for hormone/adrenal testing. The blood tests did not show any problems with my cortisol or DHEA. The saliva tests DID. I became very confused and began doing more of my own research. After reading many books, visting many thyroid BB's I discovered that the adrenal/thyroid connection goes hand in hand much of the time. Many people find that they are not feeling better on their thyroid meds until they add the additional adrenal supplementation. I tried it for a week and was amazed.

That all said, I currently am only on IsoCort. This is considered to be a very light supplementation. There are many people that supplement (on their own) with the "real" stuff. I am way too nervous about burning my adrenal's out totally to try that.

Hope this answers your questions. Since you are a (doctor/nurse?.. did I understand that correctly? ) do you have any thoughts about this?
