Hi Ellie,

Wonka suggested I stop by to ask you to take a peek at my latest thread (link in sig). I've just been diagnosed with HPV DNA, high risk strain. This is the second time I've had it. I got HPV 13 years ago and had laser surgery. By the time I knew I had it, it was really bad and I needed the surgery everywhere. It was so painful that I ended up getting vulvodynia, which wasn't diagnosed for 10 years. Anyway, I had colposcopies every three months, and then had three abnormal paps in a row, so had a cone biopsy. I had pre-cancer, but it hadn't gone deeper than that. Since then, all my yearly paps have been fine till now.

I know that the worst case scenario is that I'll need another cone biopsy. Do you have any idea how likely that is? My last normal pap (ThinPrep) was only a year ago. My colpo appt is March 3rd, so I won't know more till then.

I just feel like this is the last thing I need right now, KWIM?

Thanks so much for reading,
Nicola
