Hi Ellie

Happy New Year!

I just noticed this new thread of yours, couldn't find one for you a couple of days ago... I weighed myself on Monday on my return, after Christmas feasting and three further fabulous meals out... to find I was 67.5 kilos, so not too bad.

I picked up a cheap copy of "The seven Secrets of Slim People" and it is full of stuff I really know to be true but don't follow. Or, haven't followed so far!

They say somewhere that the people who know most about nutrition are often the worst in terms of being overweight and unhealthy. For instance, are doctors healthier than the population at large, hmmmm???

I have read up about nutrition for years, have a library full of books on the subject from many points of view, yet, to my shame, I have allowed myself to put on weight (not too much though), sit in front of the computer for hours every day, and don't do any sport at the moment. The latter is a problem of time and having people to do things with (not).

So anyway, this book is helping me think about my relation to food, it doesn't advocate any particular kind of diet. You can check it out at
