Yes I do believe that they can tell when you have dropped the rope...I think everyone becomes more at ease...emotions are no longer in the way...when the LBS gets emotional then the WAS reacts to that by running for their dear life...you show no emotion and you do draw them in a bit more. I saw that yesterday for myself.
