I had a happy new year, for a change. I've copied below from email I sent so I don't have to type it all out again and it hasn't copied exactly right, but still readable.
I had a great time with my friends, oh, I had such fun it made up for Christmas! We had this really nice meal on New Years Eve with wine and we must have got a bit merry because my friend's husband made this remark about wanting the biggest glass or something and then I kinda winked at my friend and said of course you know why men are so obbessed with size, don't you? We started laughing and talking about various sizes of..er..'manhood' and her husband piped up that he was still good at it even though he wasn't huge and I just said, 'save it for your wife, I don't want to know!' and she just went into hysterical laughter for about 20 minutes and couldn't breathe and I was laughing so much I nearly fell off my chair and her poor husband was just sitting there with this embarrassed grin on his face
For the rest of the evening, every time anyone said anything, my friend would just interpret it as a sex joke and start laughing her head off, it was so funny! We carried on drinking wine all night until midnight and then listened to the clock chime and the fireworks. This New Year's Day I ate cooked breakfast with them. Then I babysat their 3 sons so they could go to church, and we had a brunch afterwards.
Got back, spent part of my evening talking to a friend on the phone and drinking wine. I felt great!
Today I've been posting out orders (although not many as it's still a holiday here and everything is closed) and paying bills etc.
Andy sent me a text message this morning, saying what time he was collecting DD4, and I thought for a moment he must be ill as he hardly ever lets me know when he will arrive, and then complains when I'm not in. Perhaps he is trying to do things by the book now I've told him I want him to stay outside.
I didn't respond to the text message.
He arrived, no hello, but I didn't expect there to be so that's okay. DD4 put her shoes on, I asked him for my chocolates back (he had a tin of my chocolates at his house) and this French DVD that was DD4's which he borrowed and never returned. Now we are not going to hang out, I want all my things back. He said 'Oh yeah' in response to my request for the chocolates and said he didn't have the DVD with him but he'd return it on Friday when he returns DD4 (he's got her for a few days as it's new year). I said okay.
Said goodbye to DD4 and shut and locked the door. A few moments later there was a knock at the door and Andy was standing there. I opened the door again. He had my chocolates, as they'd been in his car. I took them, said thank you and closed the door again.
Now I am sitting here with a coffee and my chocolates - yummy yum!
They are cute. DD3 was a baby model when she was tiny.
I made photo memory books of all of them, where you fill out the child's milestones and birthdays etc and add pictures, and I published their birth stories in baby magazines and then glued the magazine clippings into the books so when they are older, they can read the article of how they were born!
Andy has the books to pass onto them when they are grown.
Yes I did get it but have only just banked it as we had snow here and I can't go to the bank in snow (you try bending your knees at walking at the same time whilst on ice, it doesn't happen, LOL).
Now the snow cleared I banked the cheque and am processing your order which should be with you in about 10 to 20 days time.
Jay's book has been signed etc and is still sitting on my shelf because I couldn't go out for days, LOL, but I am planning on posting his tomorrow - so Jay, you'll get your copy in about 7 days.
Sorry for the delay - unfortunately I am house-bound in severe weather conditions
No problems at all. I am not in a hurry, just concerned about whether you had received the cheque, as post from my end has recently gone astray quite a bit.
Your account of Christmas was dismaying. Andy grossly disrepects you, IMO, and you have to ask yourself why you would want more of that in the future. Have you read up about bullies? I didn't like to think of my S2BXNH as one, but I am afraid it is the truth. Once you cotton on to their game, it makes life clearer and decisions easier. Sounds like you also need to hone up on the issue of your personal boundaries , like most of us here!

Yes Andy does disrespect me. You'll be glad to know I have told him to stay outside the door from now on and that we won't be having a friendship. I already came to the consclusion that I don't want that for my future.
At least with all his messing about, he gave me the storyline of a life time for my book, and that's the only positive in all this. Maybe also he had these traits before but I missed them because I was in love with him, so maybe he has done me a favour.
My life is actually taking a different turn at the moment and I have lots of good things happening.
I've also planned a girl's night out on 25 January which is only about the 3rd time I've had a night out in 4 years. I go out in the day lots, but because of DD4, hardly ever in the evening. I'm so excited that I finally found the confidence. I'm going to meet up with a friend and then she'll introduce me to a whole group of people I've never met.
I've booked up my birthday, too. It isn't till April, but being on my own and with Andy's games, I find things go easier if I pre-plan everything like the military, so I've arranged to go to this town called Thorsby and they've got a huge Sunday Market on, on my birthday so me and DD4 will go there and I'll get myself some birthday presents. Andy can't spoil it if we're not around.
I've (provisionally) got a date to go with to my friend's wedding, so I am feeling great about everything at the moment and to be honest, haven't thought about Andy much these last couple of weeks.
I went to town with my friend this afternoon, a different town to the one we normally go to. We packed her husband off somewhere else to have girls only bonding time!
I banked some business money (tedious), then went to the post office to post Jay's book and because it was to America, the lady asked me what the package was for insurance purposes. I grinned at her and said 'It's a book, a really great book, you know, I wrote it.' My friend started laughing.
Then we went into the newsagents and I found a magazine with me in it so I said to her, 'Oh God, they've published my picture; that's embarrassing, isn't it? Lets buy two copies and you can have one.'
So I slapped these magazines on the counter and said to the cashier 'It's got me in it, you know.' To which my friend started laughing even more!
She said the camera men are going to start chasing me around like they did before the D!
Then she said as a thank you for the free magazine, she would take me to the 70% off sale so I chose this cardigan which she paid for.
Then we sat in the travel agent, looking at brochures of foreign countries and fantasizing about where we can retire to, LOL.
I had the best time ever. There's a lot to be said for GAL.
