My W has not worn her wedding ring since she walked away almost 6 months ago. It bothered me at first but I just accepted it as her way of removing all reminders of me. I have never taken mine off. I have looked to it to give me the strength and reason to have carried on through all that has happened which has been quite a bit. I think it may have contributed to how far we have come as well. For her to see me wearing mine everytime we got together may just have touched her just a little.
Now after this past weekend we are on the verge of reconciliation yet she still hasn't put hers back on. After what we just talked about yesterday, I will be overjoyed to see her put it back on again. I may ask her if I can have the honor of placing it back on her finger. I may suggest that we both remarry in our own little personal ceremony.
But, if she has a last minute change of heart, I will continue to wear mine until we are no longer married.
