Her telling you not to go off that med struck me as a very selfish thing for her to say. As if you'd be inconveniencing her. So rather than supporting you in your attempt to get off of this med she'd rather you stay on it just so she doesn't have to deal with the consequences until it's a better time in her world to do so.

Now, just to make sure....the med you were taking was/is an anti-depressant. You are absolutely sure you don't need to take it anymore? Have you spoken to your Dr. about discontinuing the use of this med? Just trying to make sure everything is done safely here for your sake.

I have known people (not saying you are doing this) that have had reason to take different meds who then go off them when they feel they don't need them....yet they don't see what other people see from the outside.
