What time frame does work for her?

Interestingly enough, my H asked me last night when I prefer--mornings, afternoons or nights. I thought about it a minute and then gave him the answer he was surely dreading: "any of them, really, H". lol

Before kids, we did it in the afternoons a lot--it seemed to work for both of us.

Anyway, it rained here the entire night. The kids and H were soaked and the baby and I were nice and toasty. The baby kept getting pieces of candy and biting off chunks of the wrapper and then sucking on whatever was inside..taffy, sweet tarts, etc. She was a wild lil thing, teetering to the candy bowl and grabbing fistfuls triumphantly. Won't she be disappointed when all that fun is OVER today and it's back to plain cheerios and banana chunks.

Gotta go raid the kids' stash for chocolate. Some rich lady was giving out full size candy bars and they both scored on that front. Oh yeah!

Hairdog,

Just wanted to add my congrats for how you are handling yourself. It isn't easy but it seems like your best bet.

Hmmmmmmmmmm she said "In fact, 'nights' just don't work. I'm exhausted. Maybe some other night, but not Monday."

MAYBE some other night????????????? sounds like she is throwing the whole "time together" night out the window. I hope you are going to address this.....

Yes, Annette....no time is good for her, it seems. That was the whole subject behind the discussion at the MC three weeks ago. We spent 10 minutes going through our whole week to find a time which was good for her. You and I (and everyone else) knows that it's just another roadblock she's setting up. Whenever I think there are no roadblocks left, she puts one more in the way. It's becoming pretty lame.

HP: We got a couple full-size candy bars, too. What are people thinking?!

So it was 3 weeks ago that at the MC you guys set up the time together? Has she attended ANY of those at all? Or thrown them all out the window? Has this been addressed at the MC?

The first week, she was out of town. The second week was the week she said that Monday nights were just about turning off the tv. This week, she just said that nights just aren't a good time for her.

Next Monday is our joint counseling session.

HD, if Monday's were just about turning off the tv together, how can it be that "nights just aren't a good time for her"?

Or has the MC pointed out that Monday nights were supposed to be more than turning off the tv?

The MC has not had a chance to say anything to W about Monday nights since W said to me that it was just about TV. The last session was a one-on-one session with just me and the MC.

I'm sure it will all get sorted out next Monday, and W will happily join me in rapturous delight that night.

Well, it gives off a hint of squirming about on her part, doesn't it? What did she give as her reason that Monday's just weren't working for her, when y'all haven't done anything out of the norm anyway?

I think it just may be some sort of pre-emptive strike against doing anything together at any time that might relate to actually having to touch each other.
