Blackie,
I don't see that you had any more major flaws than any of the rest of us but I do suspect that you got a little self centered within your M and that perhaps this tendency carried on too long and she detached.

Chrome: I would like to just personally say that I am SOOOO attracted to BF that it would never end. I don't know what you gals are biatching about. He's the best.
Stigmata: I guess what I'm trying to say is... BF, if you get that D will you marry me? LOL. At least YOU can look past all the sparkly diamonds in my ring offer for a much deeper significance it would seem.

Ok, so I could analyze this phenomenon all night. What is it about bf that makes MEN swoon? Or more specifically, Stigmata and Chromosphere. Hmmmm. Both very intelligent witty men yet searching for something bf can offer clearly. And likewise, I think bf swoons over them but being bf would never come out and verbalize it like they have. Interesting. Me thinks I'm on to something here....the composite of the ideal man. Could do a whole Frankenstein thing and see what "creation" I come up with. If only....

Oooh, work your magic on us LFL. Can you imagine a Stig/BF/Chromo combo. Really tall, muscular, sensitive, emotional, confident, sexy, intelligent, and witty (I could go on, but ...) Of course, he would be ridiculously insecure about himself, which would ruin the whole image.

Do you really want ME to analyze your sitch? Remember, this is the guy who thinks more about black holes, supernovae, and magnetohydrodynamics than relationships. Well, I see HD was commenting on the men here not offering enough advice. I guess I have been here long enough, its time to step up to the plate. Just try not to laugh to hard when you read it. It'll probably be a day or so, I still haven't found the time to post anything more than just snippets lately.

Then, an actual female calls BF on his macho BS. Which is what I have done, but didn't get much of response, except from BF's "minions", who defended him with "what BF really means is . . . ." Whatever.
Hey TSinA
Well, I'll respond. And even if I didn't, you must like sharing your opinion or you wouldn't do it. Nothing wrong with that.
So who are these "minions" that bf has? I must have missed that thread.

I'm not aware of your whole story but you appear to present yourself as the antithesis of bf on one hand, yet quite straight forward, to the point, could care less what people think like bf on the other. Not that he really thinks that but that is the perception people can get.

So you think your W stays in the M because you are Not macho? Interesting. So if it's not stepping on too many emotional mindfields, what was the OM like? Was he macho? I believe I read somewhere that it was a long affair. Goes against the whole macho men for short term use theory but notice she was not M to him, she M you.
Macho men usually don't make great M partners in a woman's eyes. They are great fun "on the side" but for a long-term commitment like M, eh, not really.
Part of this is evolutionary of course, women, particularly those planning on having children, want a stable, loving, "nice" guy as the father but ultimately, often in mid-life, her own sexual drives will come to life and her id will start to take over her superego. She wants what she wants and she spent her whole life being the good girl, good W, good mother, she just wants a taste of the pie. Not all women go throught this of course, but plenty sure do. Same as men but we already know that.

So....I guess you don't want to be part of the Frankenstein experiment?

Ooooh! Count me in, too!!!
Strong men make me HOTT!

Sheesh.

BF: The only issue I have with you is your somewhat cryptic analysis of people's situations...made even more cryptic by your creative spelling and grammar choices. But I am able to get past all that and get your meaning. I have to tell you, though, that I laughed when I first read your signature in which you said you were a "word nazi." I couldn't help but think, "that would explain why the nazis lost the war, I guess." Then I figured out what you really meant.

But I keed! (And this, by the way, is a reference to Triumph, the Insult Comic Dog, not to Eminem's song in which he references Triumph.)

Keep it coming, bf. It's good to have you around.

Here's one of them:

What BF is Saying

"Blackfoot is trying to explain why they should be happy with the men they have because there are a lot of crappy husbands out there. I think he's trying to explain to them that if they lay off pushing their hubbies for more sex, and play a more submissive (not doormat) role, the men will feel more "manly" and start schtupping (sp) their wives with a bit more gusto. "

So if it's not stepping on too many emotional mindfields, what was the OM like? Was he macho? I

Oh, yes. He was a career military who was looking for "sex he didn't have to pay for on the Internet" (his terms). Most of it was phone sex, but there were a few live encounters. By working with a very good MC, my wife has said that she gets depressed, was probably looking for mystery and danger in the affair. I have told her and hope have made clear to her that if she is in another affair, then our marriage would be over. So far, I think we are staying true to each other, at least, I know I am. I can only hope that what the therapists and writers on infidelity (Glasser, Spring and others) and our minister say is true. That the discovery of an affair can make a marriage stronger if both partners are committed to the marriage and are committed to absolute honesty in the marriage.

But, yeh, macho, no, that's the last word, I think, that anyone would use to describe me, at least in my life outside of this board.

LFL.

I guess I would be classified as one of those minions though the word minions does not really imply what Tsin is trying to say.

To be someones minion they have to hold you in high reguard he feels we hold BF in to high of regaurd.

BF = holding Chrissy in high reguard
Chrissy = holding BF in high requard.

Any how he feels that I along with HP and others because we have shown some agreement in what BF said are some brain washed little puppies drooling at BF's feet.

He refuses to see that what we were defending was our own right to our opinion and his flagrant misuse and disrespect of a conversation that was going on in this forum. By taking bits and pieces and moving them to another to justify his own bad reception of posters on that forum. It seemed he was trying to say hey I am not so bad look at this guy by giving a misconstrued view of what we were speaking about here.

While obvious to most we do not fawn all over BF and his opinion but we do give creedence to the fact what he says may hold grains of truth Tsin has his own take on this.

For myself I can state. If I ran across a post from anyone on any forum in which the poster was using a person or passage from one of our threads in effort to shine a good light on/or justify there own bad or misunderstood behavior. And did so by painting one of our posters in a bad light. I would feel the need to speak up. We are each others support system Which is something I have high regaurd for. Regaurdless of if that person is someone I agree with or disagree with at times.

Tsin bait away. Play your games. or put down the toys and become a valuable player on this board. But you are not going to be MVP by climbing over others back here. It really is not going to raise your status at all.

But hey what do I know I seem to be a mindless brain washed being.
