Answer me this, please: the dream was, it's Christmas morning, I'm half asleep on a chair, the ex and her OM are there, it's her dad's place, where she is in real life spending the holiday. The OM looks younger now, and has asian-caucasian features (in real life, he's caucasian and 59 y.o.), with a nice light brown skin tone, looking cute actually, and squatting, wearing huge black 8"ish platform shoes, and black nylon stockings, and a black cape or drape. I believe my ex says that she's getting married to him (which I suspect is in her plans somewhere in real life). Been trying to figure that dream out, thought I'd post for your take on it.
What does this dream mean? It was very calming and I woke up very at peace and content.
The whole mood of the dream was calm but not in "dreamy" or magical sense. Colors were vivid but not too vivid. I was with about two to three (maybe more) horses who were most likely all female, and they were my friends. There could have been a male horse in the group. I was communicating with them without speaking. They knew what I was thinking, and I knew what they were thinking. We were smiling at each other but not in the physical sense.
By the way, in real life I am not a horse person in any way.
Also, these horses knew what I wanted before I knew what I wanted. It was like they were trying to guide me but also listening to what I wanted them to do at the same time. They were no particular color either. Towards the end of the dream, two of them I think, took me for a ride flying through the air just above the ground. It was so weird and real. It was like I was totally connected with these horses. What the heck could this mean?

P.S. So you know how this dream could compare to my life, I have been super, super busy. I took on an extra project and finally decided to back out of it today. I have some guilt about quitting and not sticking with this particular project but realize that it was something I shouldn't have started in the first place. When I fell asleep, I was exhausted and finally glad to be able to get some rest after doing too much these last couple of weeks, however; I also felt a little bit like a quitter. This situation has nothing to do with ex even though staying busy all the time is something I have been doing so I have less time to dwell on ex. Thanks!
Before I answer everyone else's dreams, I had one of my own last night.
I saw these angels (I prayed to the archangels on Christmas Day when Andy was upsetting me) and they were smiling at me.
Then I saw this tiger except it was red instead of the usual colour.
Then I was in this waiting room of a hospital and there were loads of brightly coloured flowers around and lavender and I picked one to smell the fragrance. Waiting around with me were all these women and loads of babies, crawling all over the tables/chairs and one of the women had a foreign accent.
Then this nurse called me through to this medical room and gave me this bag full of egg donation stuff. I went out and tipped all these drugs and syringes out all over the table and read this leaflet which said that I had to inject intramuscular and I complained to the nurse about it. She showed me through to a doctor and I had an argument with him about how I wasn't injecting myself intramuscularly, only subcutaneously.
Doctor agreed and showed me how it's done and I saw the drug coming out of the needle.
Then there were cats everywhere and in particular, one cat who had a really long tail.
Then I woke up. Oh God help me
Of course we all know what this means, don't we!?
The angels are a direct answer to my prayer on Christmas Day. They were letting me know they heard me. I guess it takes a few days for God to process requests!

Flowers are love and joy.
Lavender is pleasure with the opposite sex.
Babies - love and joy.
Foreign accents - I will hear news from someone at a distance or from someone who lives far away.
Nurse - Marriage (!!!!!!!?????????).
Doctor - my spiritual healer. Improvement in my circumstances.
Argument - the opposite, harmony.
Syringe - Penis, sex.
Drugs - Semen. Orgasm.
Injecting - sex.

To let you in on the details of my Christmas prayer I said, 'Dear Angels Michael, Gabriel, Uriel and Raphael, please put an end to this suffering and allow love into my life, even if it isn't Andy. I want a husband and a family I can love, and if it's meant to be Andy, then let him realise and commit to a marriage, otherwise please can I have another family I can be part of as I am about to die of loneliness after 4 years on my own. If it's not meant to be with my own family, please send someone else. Your humble servant, Joanna' - those were the exact words of my prayer.
So this dream either means that Andy will come to his senses (unlikely) or I will fall in love with a foreign guy
Post atomic bomb scenary - well, it is post 'bomb' for your M. This is what life is like for you trying to re-build.
Canals are to do with industry as they were built for transportation of goods, so this promises improvement in your finances.
Hurricane - again that's to do with your state of mind. You don't know what to do and your thoughts are chasing each other around, should I do this? should I do that? type of thing. It could also be because you were involved with an actual hurricane and maybe is residual memory from that.

Cape, if you were wearing it, that usually means you feel the need to protect yourself against someone, but since OM was wearing it, I don't know. Maybe he is feeling threatened, insecure about his R with your XW?
Asian features - I dream that all the time. It represents parts of yours or his personality that are unknown to you or events which will occur which are currently unknown to you.
XW getting married - maybe she will and that is what you haven't been told, either that or it is your subconscious fear that she will.
Also, internalised jealousy at XW spending Christmas with OM.
Okay, now it depends on your spiritual belief's as to how much you read into it. I personally believe there is a life after death (I hear spirit voices, see things whilst awake, like visions and I get the prophetic dreaming so that's why I believe), and there are some people who believe that we all have spirit guides who help us on life's journey, and these can be animals as well as people.
After you die, you don't have a physical body anymore so you communicate by thought and because thought is universal across species, it is possible for animals to do this too. Some people who are highly tuned can pick up on thought patterns even whilst still in physical life, I can do this.
It may be that these horses were like friendly guides, telling you it's okay to cut back on your work and not feel guilty. There's nothing like the innocence and simplicity of animals to remind us when we are too serious.
Running and flying with horses - a way to have fun and relax.

New dream of my ex. I asked her if she's getting married, and she said "no". I saw on her ring finger two rings, both of them unusual in that they were each sporting a lucite like business card size placard. Couldn't make out one of them, but the other had something that appeared like some etched swan on it, along with the date beside the etching which I believe was stated as February 27, I can't recall exactly now.
Refusal or saying no usually means the opposite in dreams, 'yes'. It could be that she'll get married and you really want her to say no.
Rings are obvious symbolism - love, marriage, union. Whether that means for you or her, I don't know, but probably her since she was wearing them.

greekgoddess, Here is a neat little dream for you to check out. In the dream my W and I are in bed together next to each other, our bodies turned to face each othe. She has a little bird in her hand which she passes to me, it hops from her hands into mine. She then says to me "you are not spending the night are you". To which I say "no, I have to go to work tonight". The dream then ends. I found it very soothing for some reason. Ciao.
