HP: What do you think? If you recall, last Monday, Ms. HDog said, "but we just did it this morning" when I asked if she wanted to join me upstairs. This Monday...well, she's out of town. And yes, she planned the trip well in advance of the MC meeting in which we agreed to a schedule. Will there be a "make-up" session? I doubt it.
I'm trying not to be skeptical about all of this. I don't want to go into the whole thing with a "doubt it will ever happen" mindset.
The weekend was very nice. Yesterday, DD4 and I rode my bike to the park for a picnic lunch. And I had on a short sleeved shirt, in the middle of October!
However, my reason for posting to you is to suggest that you order a copy of the November/December 2005 of this magazine from the above link. Their main articles and there are several, are on Power and Control. There are at least 5 different articles on control and controlling personalities in a marriage. The website doesn't have it on line, however there is a place to order a sample copy. I subscribed for the spousal unit and myself and I am bringing this one with for our couples weekend at the end of the month. She and I have a weekend away at a kind of retreat cabin in northern Wisconsin. There is an article on creating sexual/spiritual intimacy that I'm going to talk over with the spouse.
The magazine is based out of the location where the spouse and I did our Marriage Encounter and they had a copy for us in our packet for the weekend. The magazine's "spirituality" runs a sort of mainstream kind of Christianity, it's not too overt and they do run articles that you can use if your religion doesn't run that way. I'm an atheist and it doesn't rub me the wrong way the way some marriage materials do.
Scott -Who when he saw the topics on the magazine, immediately thought of you. I'm still kinda weirded out about that.

Aw, Scott, I think about you all the time.
I'll give the mag a look-see. Thanks for the heads up.
Did I mention that our family spent a week or so in the Hayward Lakes area of Wisconsin last summer? We took a trip up to Bayfield and really liked it.
Of course, there is that winter thing goin' on up there.

I just get so excited when I see that anybody mentions my neck of the woods...both my H and I grew up in Northern WI,...I miss it so much...it is so beautiful!
Did you take the ferry to Madeline Island?
Applefest the first weekend of OCT in Bayfield is always a blast...lots of traffic tho...
Hairy, That is a nice part of the state. Many years ago my dad chartered a sailboat out of Bayfield and we sailed in the Apostiles for a couple of days. It was quite fun.
Winter is on the way. Some of us polar bear types like it a little cooler. Although who knows what kind of winter we'll have this year.

Hi, unsure 70. We didn't take the ferry to Madeline, but we did take the big tour boat around the Apostle Islands. It was wonderful. Scott: I used to own a sailboat. One of my wishes is to acquire another one and sail various lakes around the US, although the Great Lakes are a bit scary to me...maybe after I regain my experience and confidence at the tiller.
My W grew up in Rockford, and loves WI and northern IL. She misses the winters there, and says that the winters here in MO are just slush and ice. She's mostly right.
