Lou, for me, it's a LOT more intense than just a feeling of relief. It's almost an electrical charge that lasts for several seconds and I feel it in my pelvic area and in my legs and even in my chest, particularly if I take a deep breath when it happens. It reminds me of breathing in ice-cold air. Then there are a series of intense contractions that last well over a minute. The period of contractions has gotten longer over the years. It's definitely someone one would want to experience again (although not immediately, for me). I know some women have multiple O's very close together-- I've read this-- but for me the one O is so intense, I would need to wait a while. With one guy I knew, we would wait twenty minutes or so then go back at it. Then repeat that again. After three of these in a 2 hour or so period, I was ready to face the day... <sigh>

The stuff I've read on the subject says that basically men and women experience the same sensations when they O. The contractions are like the pulsations that a guy feels. I've never known a guy who (in my perception, being there, close to the action at the time) had more than half a dozen pulsations, whereas I routinely have more than 23-24 contractions.

Responding to Lillies rather descriptive post.

Thanks for that info. I have wondered about the differences in feeling between women and men. I'm sure it is different for different women too (as we have just seen between Chrissy and Lillie).

Who else am I gonna tell?

It's an ANONYMOUS board.

Surely I'm not the only one who's curious about this kind of stuff?

I am absolutely curious about this stuff ... too curious probably, considering that as I'm not going to get any for awhile, I'm just torturing myself thinking about it.

Lil, I have "READ" that too but never had a woman ever say anything about the subject and I never have been in a situation where I could ask any questions.

I have read about the "good O's" women have had but again never about the O's that are not over the top, or the O's from a woman that could take or leave them.

Sometimes I wonder why I want to know. I had hoped knowing some of this information would help me with BB, but I don't think it will. I am very interested in learning new things and it is a very interesting subject. I wish it would do more good IRL.

Thanks for explaining your experiences. It makes me realise people are different and at least not every menopausal woman is sexually almost dead as the popular myth implies.

Now, that "would" be nice!

Lil, the closeness, the skin to skin prior, the wet friction prior, (I call it soaking and rubing) along with all of the other make-out activities is so valuable prior to O'ing as is the post "O" soaking. What more can I say.

This is what some LDW don't get in their mind. I wish the LDW's could feel and understand all of these feelings better and experience more of. But life is not like the movies or Star Treck and the "mind meld" equivilent IRL, is not possible for some people to mentally visualize.

I had a 500 level "sexual variations" class and some of the women expressed their views about sexuality but never to the extent as people do here. There were some "educational films" that were part of the materials we could watch alone or with someone. Most of the people did not want to watch them so no one commented about them. The instructor said take the word "educational" with a grain of salt. To him their was not much difference between "educational" and "porn" so maybe that is why not many people said they viewed the tapes.

Contractions, male and female.
I did see some videos posted on the internet, made by couples or individuals that looked real. That looked like they were exploring and showing their version of their sexuality. But I suppose they could be acting a little too. Most were rather tame so that is why I said they looked real.

Most of the internet videos I considered real seem to go along with

Well, thanks for posting. I have to go to work. I got a couple of fax repairs (high priority work) that need atending. The companies are losing money without their fax machines working so people get up tight.

Lil.

If I have sex through manual means only I to then experience the contractions. But if I experience O through manual and the physical act then usually I am more interested in the thrusting aspect then the contractions.
If sex continues after the O it takes on a more rampant air. To me that is the best sex!

I have to second that emotion... That is the best. I don't want it to end just because I have an O I want it even more because of it. It becomes a primal need at some point.

About half a dozen is about right for me but those six or so are very strong and feel just wonderful. Sometimes I almost pass out, see stars. Sometimes I have to slow down because the feelings/intensity is too much.

I never took drugs or have been drunk. Sex and O's are my drug of choice.

Now that is new to me. I will have to remember that if in a position to use the knowledge.

U2???, must be something I missed reading in my babybook/(operators manual/instruction book of life). I guess it is not over when the lady sings.

While we are at it, do you like guys to be quiet or noisy, muffled or loud? Are you quiet or loud if no one else is in the house.
